Abstract
This standard specifies the most important requirements for the tape ribbon, scale markings and accuracy of the scale markings.
Generally, measuring tapes made of steel are used in geodesy and building construction. Measuring tapes made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic are also used in special cases.
